OUTREACH & ENROLLMENT
Everyone needs health insurance. It allows us to receive the medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare we need to be healthy members of our families and communities. WVHC has licensed Navigators and Certified Application Counselors who can help you decide which health insurance programs you qualify for, and then walk you through the entire process of enrollment and beyond. This is a free service available to anyone in the community.
What is a Navigator?
An Indiana Navigator is licensed through the Indiana Department of Insurance to provide free, unbiased application assistance for Indiana Health Coverage Programs such as the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), Hoosier Healthwise, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
What is a Certified Application Counselor?
A Certified Application Counselor (CAC) is certified through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to provide free, unbiased application assistance on the ACA/Federal Health Insurance Marketplace.

To make the process go smoothly when applying, please bring these items with you:

Birth certificates for those applying (if you don't have one, we will help you get one)

Birth date for everyone in household

Proof of income for all those applying (30 days of pay stubs if possible)
